Angry Birds Rio for iPhone & iPad – Review & GamePlay

Angry Birds has been the most successful game across the world in all of iDevice app history. I didn’t think there could be an app that could come close to its popularity but Angry Birds RIO is definitely going to be a great contender to take the title..

In Angry Birds Rio, the original Angry Birds are kidnapped and taken to the magical city of Rio de Janeiro, where they eventually escape their captors and set out to to save their friends, Blu and Jewel – two rare macaws and the stars of the upcoming Fox motion picture, Rio. Angry Birds Rio will pair the physics-based gameplay of the original game with unique twists based on the film -  Rovio Mobile Ltd.

Game play

Angry Birds Rio is everything that we have grown to love about the original Angry Birds game play but with completely new scenery, new characters and a brand new storyline. So far there are two episodes available with 60 exciting levels and the promise that more levels will be released throughout the year. There are brand new achievements and special hidden fruit to find and the ultimate test in a spectacular boss fight. Bring. It. On.

Most of us are already familiar with the game play but let’s take a look at it in action.

Graphics and Sounds

Angry Birds Rio is jam packed with better graphics than the original and new sounds, for both the iPhone & iPad versions. You can see below the comparison between Angry Birds & Angry Birds Rio on the iPhone game play.

Angry Birds Rio is a fantastic way to follow up such a successful franchise and will ensure Angry Birds remains a favourite on the App charts.
